FAMILY PHOTOOn 20thSeptember 2012 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, Third meeting of the Project Strategic Committee consisted of Heads of the Border Police Services of the Project “Joint comprehensive approach in building co-operation between MARRI and SEPCA Member States’ border police on international airports” was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia and Bureau of Public Security – Sector for Border Affairs and Migration.
H.E Gordana Jankuloska, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia and H.E Ambassador Aivo Orav, Head of EU Delegation in Macedonia opened the meeting with welcoming addresses.
The meeting was aimed at evaluation of the implemented Project activities, progress achieved as well as to provide guidance, coordination and valuable input for further successful implementation of the Project activities after the completion of the Project implementation phase.
On special ceremony organized during the meeting, Bulgaria and Moldova signed instrument of accession to the Memorandum of Understanding on sustainability of established co-operation network between border police units on international airports.
FRONTEX, Swiss Federal Office for Migration as well as Ambassadors and representatives of MARRI and SEPCA Member States Embassies acredited to the Republic of Macedonia participated to the meeting as well.
The Project is funded by the Swiss Confederation with co-funding provided by MARRI.
