The event will bring together Heads of Border Police and Heads of Asylum Departments within the Ministries of Interior/Security of the MARRI Participants to jointly examine current challenges, emerging trends, and the anticipated implications of the Pact, while exploring how strengthened coordination among regional networks can enhance preparedness and coherence. The meeting is supported by the “EU Support to Strengthen the Fight against Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans” (EU4FAST) project.  

This workshop is jointly organized by the MARRI, Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) and International Organization for Migration (IOM). The event will highlight MARRI RC’s recent initiatives and promote peer exchange and mutual learning among PWGMS members on international protection.

The MARRI Friends Meeting / Diplomatic Briefing under the Presidency-in-Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will gather representatives of the diplomatic corps, governmental institutions, as well as international and civil sector organisations for the traditional presentation of the annual results and upcoming plans of the MARRI Regional Centre, while also providing an opportunity for partners and donors to reflect on joint achievements and discuss future efforts in migration management in the Western Balkans.
