Zoom – The fifth session of the PaCT Steering Group gathered the MARRI Participants’ Anti-trafficking Coordinators, the PaCT project partners and an expert from GRETA to brief about the project progress and main achievements but also, to discuss the global trends in the trafficking in human beings and their implications in the Western Balkans region.
Following the update on Participants’ priorities in the field of THB, representatives of Macedonian Young Lawyers Association, IFS – EMMAUS from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Association for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) from Serbia presented the implemented activities and the main outcomes from the work done so far. The focus of these interventions has been on the regional awareness raising campaigns, mental health and psycho-social support (MHPSS) in the reception centres and shelters.
The Steering Group Meetings are an integral part of the regional project on Preventing and Combatting Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans (PaCT) financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Migration, Asylum, Refugee, Regional Initiaitve (MARRI) as strategic partner.
