Skopje, 17 February 2011 – The MARRI Regional Centre, under the Albanian MARRI Presidency in Office, organized the MARRI Diplomatic Briefing/Friends of MARRI Meeting, on February 17th 2011, at the premises of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
The Minister of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia, Mrs. Gordana Jankuloska, attended the meeting and addressed the participants. She emphasized the support of Macedonia to MARRI.
The Head of the SEECP/RCC Section, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Albania, Mr. Gjergj Murra, addressed the meeting and welcomed the participants on behalf of the Albanian Presidency in Office.
The event was also attended by Ambassadors and other representatives of Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Republic of Macedonia, by high level officials from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, by representatives of academic circles, as well as by international organizations, such as ICMPD, IOM, FRONTEX, UNHCR, NATO etc.
Ambassador of Netherlands, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Representative of the Embassy of Switzerland, Special Adviser to the Executive Director of FRONTEX, Representative of ICMPD and other participants expressed their appreciation and further support to MARRI.
Director of MARRI Regional Centre, Mr. Trpe Stojanovski presented the current and future MARRI activities, priorities and projects and expressed gratitude and hope that MARRI will be further supported by the MARRI Member States, MARRI Friends/Donor countries and international organizations.
