Skopje – The MARRI Regional Centre successfully held its annual Friends Meeting / Diplomatic Briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia. This traditional gathering brought together representatives from the diplomatic corps, international organizations, regional institutions, and partner agencies to reflect on MARRI’s progress, share strategic perspectives, and reinforce regional cooperation in migration management.

Hosted in the spirit of transparency and collaboration, the event served as a platform to review MARRI’s achievements over the past year, highlight ongoing initiatives, and outline priorities for the upcoming period.

The event was opened by the Minister of Interior of the Republic of North Macedonia, Panche Toshkovski, who emphasized the importance of joint efforts in addressing common challenges in the region. He described MARRI as “a product created by us for us,” underlining the significance of ownership and regional solidarity. “To seize the opportunities it offers us and to cooperate within its scope, but also to use the initiative as a platform to strengthen trust in each other, is a fundamental prerequisite that will help us move forward on the path to developed and prosperous societies,” said Minister Toshkovski.
