On 19-20 November 2012, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Commission’s DG Enlargement within the framework of the TAIEX instrument, in cooperation with the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized workshop on Establishing the Identity of Asylum Seekers.
The workshop gathered experts on asylum and migration issues from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey. The MARRI Regional Centre, as a relevant organization, also participated at this workshop. The participants had a valuable exchange of national experiences in the subject matter.
EU experts from United Kingdom, Ireland and Slovenia shared their experience and expertise from the EU perspective in establishing the identity of asylum seekers.
In the framework of the workshop visits of two Asylum Centers of Bosnia and Herzegovina were also organized.
