Skopje – MARRI RC under the Presidency-in-Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized MARRI Friends Meeting / Diplomatic Briefing for representatives of diplomatic corps in North Macedonia, relevant international organizations, MARRI partners and donors as well as representatives of the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs of MARRI Participants. Coinciding with the 15th Anniversary of MARRI, the meeting was dedicated to the celebration of its existence and the joint achievements with all Friends of MARRI.
Following the introductory remarks by the Minister of Interior of the Republic of North Macedonia Mr. Oliver Spasovski, the audience was addressed by Mr. Jasmin Gagula on behalf of MARRI Presidency-in Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and MARRI RC Director Sashko Kocev, who gave retrospective overview of MARRI’s highlights over the years, starting from 5 April 2004. Adding to this presentation, the first MARRI RC Director Mr. Thomas Birath shared fond memories about the enthusiasm and commitment of those who participated in the establishment of MARRI.
During the traditional session of tour de table, appreciation to MARRI’s achievements and support to the future endeavors expressed the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Ms Dusanka Tomic Divjak, the First Secretary at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. Werner Froer, the former MARRI RC Director Mr. Trpe Stojanovski, The Head of IOM Office in Skopje Ms. Sonja Bozinovska, ICMPD National Representative Ms. Melita Gruevska- Graham, CEI Project Manager Mr. Ugo Poli, GIZ Team Leader Mr. Michael Samec, NALAS Executive Director Mr. Kelmend Zajazi, Program Director at Open Gate/La Strada Ms. Marija Todorovska, MARRI Committee Member of Kosovo* Mr. Valdet Sadiku and Mr. Draganco Apostolovski, MARRI Deputy Committee Member of the Republic of North Macedonia.
