The European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) and MARRI Regional Centre are joining efforts with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency-in-Office of MARRI in convening the Regional Workshop on the Asylum Procedure Regulation (APR) under the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, which will take place on 9–10 June 2026 in Malta.
The event is organized with the support of the EU-funded project ‘Regional Support to Protection-Sensitive Migration Management Systems in the Western Balkans, Phase III (PSMM3)’ and also contributes to the implementation of the EUAA–Bosnia and Herzegovina Roadmap for Cooperation.
The event will focus on the operational implications of the APR, supporting Western Balkan partners in familiarising themselves with the new provisions under the Pact. EUAA experts will present key elements of the Regulation, including the impact on procedures, workflows and resource planning. Interpretation in Western Balkan languages will be provided.
The workshop is intended for Heads of Asylum offices, senior officials and practitioners involved in asylum procedures, planning and coordination.
